In the global supplement industry, many people only see the final product on the shelf. Few understand the challenges behind every bottle and every package.

During the past two years, global inflation, international conflicts, and rising material costs have affected manufacturers around the world.

As a Japanese OEM supplement supplier, we have experienced these challenges firsthand.

Recently, one of our customers requested to add new functional ingredients into their Nattokinase formula. This required us to redesign the package several times and adjust production specifications accordingly.

At the same time, our factory informed us that packaging material costs had increased significantly due to international supply chain disruptions and rising raw material prices.

Although production costs increased, we decided to honor the original quotation we had already promised to our customer.

Instead of transferring all additional costs to our client, we chose to reduce our own profit margin as much as possible because we believe long-term trust is more valuable than short-term profit.

Unfortunately, not every project could reach the same result.

For one of our American customers, we spent months negotiating with our manufacturing partners, trying to reduce the costs of three planned supplement products.

However, continuous increases in raw material prices made it impossible to achieve a competitive price.

In the end, the customer decided to postpone the project and stop the order.

It was disappointing for everyone involved, but sometimes honesty is more important than forcing a deal that cannot benefit both sides.
